About Verify PDF signature
Verify PDF signature checks the digital signatures inside a PDF — e-Aadhaar, e-PAN, e-stamp papers, GST and income-tax documents, certificates and anything signed with a DSC or eSign. For each signature you see who signed it and when, whether the document has been changed since it was signed, and whether the signer's certificate traces back to a trusted authority, including India's CCA roots.

Adobe Reader often shows a yellow question mark ("validity unknown") on genuine Indian documents because it does not trust these roots by default — this page gives you the exact certificate to trust and the steps, so the question mark turns into a green tick.
Tips
- Press Download verified PDF: the signature box shows the green tick instead of the question mark — print it straight away.
- Green “Signature verified” means the signature is genuine and the document is unchanged since it was signed.
- For the green tick in Adobe: download the certificate shown under the report and follow the four steps — you only do it once per computer.

Why does Adobe show a question mark on my Aadhaar / PAN PDF?
Adobe does not trust India's signing authorities (CCA India roots) by default, so it says "validity unknown". The signature can still be perfectly genuine — this page checks it against India's roots.
How do I get the green tick in Adobe?
Download the certificate this page shows for your document, then in Adobe: open the PDF → click the signature → Signature Properties → Show Signer's Certificate → Trust → Add to Trusted Certificates → tick "Use this certificate as a trusted root" → OK, and validate again. Do it once; every document from the same authority then shows the tick.
Can you add the green tick to the file itself?
No one can — the tick is Adobe's own check on your computer. Changing the file would break the signature. Trusting the certificate once in Adobe is the correct way.
Is my PDF kept?
No — it is checked on our server and deleted within an hour.
Is Verify PDF signature free?
Yes. Verify PDF signature is completely free with no signup, no watermark and no daily limit for normal use (a fair-use limit protects the server from abuse).
Is it safe to use Verify PDF signature?
